He watches her from the hallway for a moment before noticing him. She steps back startled as he approaches. 'I'm sorry to frighten you,' he says calmly. 'I'm here for the open house.' Karen composes herself and apologizes, quickly snapping into show mode. She offers the man a cookie and begins to show him the kitchen, proudly explaining that this is her first listing as a real estate assistant and, once she sells it, she will be able to move up the ranks in her agency and get a full-time position. While she is explaining, the man lingers behind her staring. POV angles show him watching her every move. She can feel his eyes on him and it makes her nervous. When she asks him questions, he always answers calmly ... but his eyes never leave her. He seems very insistent on seeing the view from the master bedroom.Just as they are about to go upstairs, the doorbell rings and another visitor arrives. Relieved, Karen excuses herself and goes to open the door. She begins to show them around while the man hovers at the stairs, watching her. After a few moments, he slowly walks up the stairs and disappears.Two Hours LaterKaren opens the door and shows the final visitor out, thanking them profusely for the visit and urging them to check her other listings out online. The young agent seems desperate. She closes the door and presses herself against it, swearing. All that effort to get the house ready and ANOTHER failure. She had promised the listing agent she would sell it today and she knows they will never give her a chance now. Muttering to herself, she kicks off her heels, throws the flyers, flowers, and cookies in a trash bag, and heads upstairs to shut off the lights.When she walks into the bedroom, trash bag in hand, she is startled again to see the man standing there admiring the view. She lets out a noise as he spins around and smiles at her. 'It's beautiful up here,' he says. Stuttering, she apologizes ... she didn't realize he was still here. The man stares at her for a moment before slowly approaching. 'I overheard you downstairs,' he continues. 'It's a shame that you didn't get any leads today. I know how cutthroat real estate can be! How old are you anyway, you seem so young?' Karen stares down at the bag and her bare feet and tells him she is 20 years old. It was her final test with this agency today but she will find another one. 'Everything happens for a reason, right?' She says, trying to remain cheery. The man walks around the room a little more, admiring it. 'Well, maybe I can help you with this.' He says. 'What was the listing price again?' Karen's ears prick up and she fishes in the trash bag for a flyer, handing it to him. 'It's $749,000 asking,' she says. 'But I'm sure the homeowner would be open to negotiate that down a bit.' The man stares at her while she urges him to look over the details again. He smiles. 'I'll take it.'Karen can't believe it. A huge smile crosses her face as she hugs the man, thanking him profusely. She tells him she'll need to get some paperwork and an initial offer in the books today to meet her quota. The man assures her he wants to offer full list price and, because she was such a great agent, he wants to double her commission. The young woman can't help but jump up and down in excitement. The man calmly walks over to the bed and sits down. This causes Karen to stop awkwardly. 'This is a really big bedroom,' the man says. 'Do you think I could get a lot of girls in this bedroom?' Not wanting to lose the sale, Karen says yes and tells him she is sure it will make a great bachelor pad. 'I think I'll put mirrors on the ceiling,' he continues. 'It would be a shame to commit to this house without really knowing if its what I want.' He stares at her blankly. She stares back. 'What kind of test would you need?' She asks slowly. 'Well, I think if you would come over here and let me test you out, that would probably work.' Karen closes her eyes, fully realizing what the man is proposing. 'Will it be quick?' she asks. He says yes. 'And will you promise to double the commission, like you said?' He says yes. Karen bites her lips and starts to unbutton her blouse in front of the man.
